I hope to see you Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Boundary Waters Musky Club’s annual fundraiser. I will present a new seminar for this event, entitled “Pre-Turnover Muskies.”

The pre-turnover period is rapidly becoming my favorite time to fish for muskies, and each year ends up producing some of the biggest fish that visit my boat.

The fundraiser kicks off at noon at Antoine Lanes in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The event features prize raffles, tackle sales and swaps in addition to seminars. The other speakers for the day include Jim Pryal, a fly fishing guide; WDNR biologist Greg Matzke; and Avery Smith addressing Green Bay muskies. The public is welcome to attend.

An annual membership to the Boundary Waters Musky Club is $10 for an individual and $15 for families, and dinner will be provided for members at 5 p.m. Saturday.
