don't get to excited... its only going to be about 200 jobs over the next 2 years. When you count up the 243,000 jobs that left this state in the last 4 years due to doyle this is a drop in a bucket.

Then don't apply if you don't like it.

It WILL be EXTREMELY important to those 200 families who will once again have jobs and money coming into their household.

Amen...this was certainly good news but there's a long ways to go yet. Doyle is NOT friendly to businesses in Wisconsin. The way Doyle operates...treat existing Wisconsin businesses like total crap but bribe new businesses into moving to the state.

exactly... and they are making such a big deal of 200 jobs. Why not be honest about how many have left this state?

And green jobs? didn't we already prove Global warming is a myth?

Any jobs are better than no jobs. But Wisconsin used to be a good state with mfg jobs etc.... Then you add doyle, combined reporting and wahlah.. 243,000 leave. And we are celebrating bringing 200 back???

GT, i mean no disrespect, but this isn't this big of deal as barrett and doyle would like you to think. Its a dog and pony show for barrett as he is running for Gov.

What has happened in this state to jobs is a shame and 200 isn't that big of deal when you lost 243,000 just based on the shameful policies.

I agree with you that 200 compared to 243,000 is small, but did you expect all 243,000 to be filled at once? It's a start, and I'm 100% sure that the 200 families who will have income, will be able to pay their housing and food costs, and have health insurance will be more than happy when they start work, or will they say, "well, we're not covering all 243,000 jobs here so I'm not going to work here."

It isn't just about global warming. It's about trying to get us away from dependence on fossil fuels. I agree GW is a myth, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't conserve where we can. Hell, I've been doing that since I was a kid. Don't your turn out lights in your home when not in use? Do you drive full bore into stop signs then slam on the brakes, then floor it when you take off? I doubt that many people do that. If you do, it must be nice to have unlimited income resources. I just posted this as a way to help someone who might need a job, I didn't intend for it to be a political statement or touting anyone's policies. I realize since this isn't about football that this has no place on this board, but I really didn't expect someone to get so pissed off about the jobs lost in mfg. in Wisconsin that they'd start a tirade against a post that might benefit someone.

please don't take offense. I am not pissed etc.... i am just pointing out that i am frustrated with this dog and pony show. this 200 is nothing compared to how bad our business env is with doyle and the rest of them. The only business they do allow is "green".. anybody else can take a hike. that has been this administrations marching orders for years.

And why produce HIGH cost energy when our existing energy is cheaper and doesn't cause any global warming? Don't get me wrong, wind solar, etc.. is fine with me as long as we don't pass stupid laws like the clean jobs bill they are pushing now. Wind and solar will not cover our needs.

Doyle is all about that. Thatís him TO - A - T. He's a CLASSIC BS politician that way. I was at a grand opening of a friends business in Milwaukee. Doyle showed up and shook hands and smiled for the cameras... and the minute the cameras left he bolted like his arsh was on fire. Thatís the way he is. Thereís not a sincere and genuine bone in his body. My buddy started laughing and commented about it and also commented how doing business in the state is damn near impossible thanks to Doyle. Mayor Barrett and Scott Walker are the complete opposite. Although I disagree with Barrett on many things, heís a great guy and you wonít hear many people say many bad things about him personally.

RE: New Mfg. Plant, Hundreds Of Jobs Coming To Milwaukee

Since 2006, over 6700 companies have either gone out of business or moved out of wisconsin.

    And today in the state capital they are debating the following;

    1. do away with the electoral college in Wisc
    2. how to make private business pay for personal time off
    3. increasing taxes on business

You can't make this stuff up. Instead of actually helping this state they are looking for way to make it worse. This is your democrat led state law makers. This is why i am sick to my stomach and why i responded the way i did. I meant no disrespect to the original poster.
