    Upgrading Bearings on a Reel

Why would you do this? Not in a Salt Water. The reel I would upgrade is a year old.

Depending on the reel, upgrade bearings ABEC-#whatever can make a nice difference. Smoother and farther casting.

It would be a Diawa Lexa 400 Is already real smooth casting. ABEC what does that mean?

?Annular bearing engineering committee of the American bearing mfg assoc. I think it's essentially a tolerance grading. Higher the number the "better".

I have never drove a daiwa Lexa, my AC300s/Luna's refuse to die. BLL Bigfish here is good resource on all things Lexa.
