    St. Lawrence River Newbie

    Hey guys!

Thanks in advance if you take the time to read this.

I am a new muskyhunter.com forum member and musky addict.

I am an avid reader of Musky Hunter magazine and have pretty well read every musky book i could get my hands on this winter.

I have had a very hard time finding info on big river systems such as the St.Lawrence (I am in the Cornwall, Ontario area just above Massena, NY)

Most books are about patterns and seasonal movements on lakes.

With no thermocline and being a lot bigger and having stronger currents than southern reservoirs yet being very clear water at the same time, I find it very hard and confusing for an amateur musky angler on the St.Lawrence river to find a good starting point when it comes to
    seasonal location and typical patterns.

I hope somebody familiar with the waters can point me in the right direction or help with breaking down the system.

    Thanks!

I am 90 miles upriver from you so I can't help much with your local waters. However, I suggest that you consider hiring a local muskie guide for a day or so (there are two or three good ones in Cornwall) and joining your closest chapter of Muskies Canada. It would be money well spent.
