Is super glue safe on fluorocarbon leaders?

Is super glue safe on fluorocarbon leaders? I was thinking using some on my leaders as a precaution.

    Thanks

Some fluorocarbons will break down from super glue. It is best to check with the manufacturer first.

I've never heard of super glue harming fluorocarbon line. Super glue sets up very hard, which makes a knot more brittle. On short leaders that's probably OK, but for direct mainline to leader knots I would use something flexible like Plio-bond if I used any glue at all.

It is what was told to me by a product rep for one of the larger manufactures of fluorocarbon.

5 minute Epoxy works great, super glue can fail over time
