    Your winter project???

Like everybody else, I spend part of the winter tinkering with baits and other stuff. So, I thought it might be a fun thread to post photos of what we made?? My favorite is the Bait-R-Ator. I just took an old cooler, two Frabil D-cell airators, a rod strap and here is how it looks. Drill two holes, caulk around the tubes, hang the units and a hold down strap. Why? I like to sucker fish till hard water and using the live well pumps on the boat in that weather is asking for trouble. So, what did you make?

    My winter project

    Hey Junkman,

Nice work. I may need to copy that.

I am still finishing my main winter project.
I like row trolling. I had done it in a regular old 14' aluminum boat. It's too much work, it was killing me, and I can't afford a beautiful row troller.

I bought one that I got a lead on from a friend. Fiberglas Shell Lake flat transom canoe that needed some fiberglas repairs, and transom replacement. I'm not smart enough to turn down a project.

Here is a before and after of the transom. Still more work to do. Lot's of keel work to do yet.

I have to get it done before The Bob Ellis Classic in June.
