Ok. I'll bite. So which musky does everyone believe is the "real" world record?

Malo...no agenda, no reason to fib, disqualified on technicalities...at least in my eyes.

The hundred-pounder caught out of Lake Minoqua during the late 1800s... as reported by the Lakeland paper

All wrong so far! All were bogus or figments of imagination and "drink"!

    Muskie regards,

I'm also for the Malo fish... recognizing it's not technically legit... kind of like the guy who caught the world record yellowfin, but his rod had been touched by a deck hand, so it didn't qualify by IGFA rules.

That said, I'd prefer the WR be well over 60 inches in length too!

The Malo fish is mounted (looks exactly as originally pictured) and hangs at Dunrovin Bar, not far from you. How can you say it is a fake?

I vote for either the Obrien or Williamson fish. I know the Obrien fish has come under fire, but I met a biologist who said he was there when it was weighed and I met another guy who took a photo of the musky after it was weighed. It was a horizontal photo and the girth still looked massive.
