    I'm also for the Malo fish... recognizing it's not technically legit... kind of like the guy who caught the world record yellowfin, but his rod had been touched by a deck hand, so it didn't qualify by IGFA rules.

    That said, I'd prefer the WR be well over 60 inches in length too!

    I have always considered the Malo fish to be the most legit of anything pre 1970... Some of the beasts out of the Larry in the recent past may have been there too but since they never saw a scale we will never know...

    The Malo fish is mounted (looks exactly as originally pictured) and hangs at Dunrovin Bar, not far from you. How can you say it is a fake?
