Report from Headquarters just before the anglers leave the water:

On an incredible pace with many doubles and some quality fish as well. There are reported to be at least two teams with three fish, and the possibility one team has 4. Several nice fish have hit the net, one reported to be near 48".
At least one team is reported to have 4 fish.

Tomorrow on Day Two, the morning reports and images will be uploaded from the water, and images and updates, and any excitement from Marty's MW Marine Sponsored Ranger will be uploaded nearly live.

56 fish were caught today, with 2 teams catching 4 each. The incredible total set a new PMTT 1 day record, and it looks good for tomorrow for the record event total to fall. The largest fish caught was a 47" tank, the fish that anchored a four fish limit and the Day One lead for Jason Baratica and Markus Malyuk. Second, also with a double is Doug and John Dibble, 49 points behind the leaders. Third is Weyers and Techlin with three fish, five points back from second. Fourth is Jason and Jim Obrenski with a triple, fifth is Reiter and Cummings with a double, sixth is Haageinson and Mcccartin with a double, seventh is Adamovich ad Barber with a double, eighth is Landmeier and Taylor with a double, Amug and Heath are in ninth with a double, and Raley and Remorfell round out the top ten. Twentieth took a double, and if the fishing is as good tomorrow, the leaderboard will scramble quite a bit.

The weather looks great tomorrow with a morning shower and some clouds around, holding the pattern that was prevelant today. The anglers are off the water by 1 PM, just in time for the skies to clear and temps to hit 72 degrees.

PMTT - Mercury Marine Summers Challenge sets a one day at Eagle River.

The bite was absolutely incredible as the 180 anglers signed up to fish the Eagle River event landed a record 57 muskies up to an incredibly heavy 47 beast. The team of Jason Baratka & Marcus Malyuk registered 4 muskies including the big fish of the day. It looks to set a PMTT all time record as weather continues to be favorable and they only need to catch 15 more tomorrow for a new record. Stand by for a new PMTT record to be set tomorrow. Complete details will follow after the tournament tomorrow at our website at www.promusky.com

More Day 2 Pictures and Report

The front is headed through and sun about to break, but the effect on the fish may not be to severe because of the numerous cool fronts coursing through.

The expectations are high, and a record is there to be broken if the bite lights up.

Coverage of the PMTT is brought to you by St Croix Rods!

Just saw one caught, first time we have seen a judge boat move.

Report is record will fall soon, muskies are going.

Several teams doubled today, others adding to yesterday's number.

Big fish of the event caught today.
At least one more triple today...

    ***Update***

Reiter and Cummings took the win with six fish, something on might expect in Eagle River...but WOW. 87 Muskies were caught, setting an all time PMTT record, and it took a double to make the top 20.

The fish were caught using nearly every technique available, and in deep to shallow...in fact, a couple teams admitted there really wasn't a pattern for them; just run and gun and keep the lures wet.

Keith and Ken Krejci took second with 4 fish anchored by a 47. Baratka and Malyuk took third with 4 fish, also anchored by a 47, rounding out the top three.

Watch for Video and Images from the weigh in soon!

Does Steve Worrell/Muskiefirst report on here as well as this is almost identical to the writeup on that site? With the exception of this one has more pictures, and no video.
