In my usual spot on the river today, only one small fish and I'm thinking, not too many fish in the river today. Then I spot the DNR boat with two guys set up to shock fish. They motor up and down right in front of my eyes and scoop about 50 0r 60 fish of all types into a 70 gallon tank, then beach the boat right near me for the measuring and tagging and eventual live release. It was great to watch and even greater to see just how many fish were there for me to catch. Watching them carefully place the fish on a bump board, tag and record them was just so interesting. If you ever get a chance, watching the process was really fun.
