    live bait online?

I live in Dayton Ohio, although its not the best known muskier hot spot in the world it does produce good fish. I want to try live bait fishing with large bait fish,ie sucker. However I can't locate any in Ohio. Does anyone know of an online retailer who will ship suckers? Or if any other farm fished will work? I have found a catfish farm who will sell me 12 inch channel cats for a couple bucks. Has anyone tried this? Any suggestions?

I have the same problem in Indiana. Where I am at the biggest live bait I can get is about five or six inches from gander mountain.

Muskies around here LOVE bullheads, so I imagine cats would work, too. You might want to cut the spines off to make it a little easier for the muskies to grab the cat (and for you to attach the quick-strike rig), but otherwise I don't see why it won't work ... as long as it's legal to use gamefish for bait in your state.

I don't know if its legal in Ohio. In wisconsin your are allowed to catch fish for bait as long as you include them in your legal limit.
