Havent fished fall musky as much as i would like but im heading up to northern wisconsin next weekend. Was wondering what time of the day is typically the best. Does anyone have success in the early morning after a cool night? Thinkin if the morning bight isnt the best, dont really wanna fish my most productive spots till later in the day. Thanks for any replies.
spend as much time on the water as possible in order to locate the fish ,, note where you had follow-ups and go back there every couple hours ,, time on the water --- throw the 9" weighted Suick in the "Bronze Perch" color pattern ---- goooood luck ---- jim
My experience is the morning bite is slow only if a cold front has moved through. Clears skies and a north wind is bad for the morning bite. But, if you have "good musky weather", hit the good spots early just like it's summer.
While it is cold in the morning it is WELL worth getting up early and getting out. I would take the first 1 ½ hours of daylight than the last 1 ½ hours in the fall! No one is on the lake in the early morning in the fall, and the fish sure like to bite.

Thanks for the replies, Ill be out there all day almost non-stop. This warm weather is kind of discouraging, but o well. I will report back on what we catch, if anything, hehe.
