Watch Out For Slopmaster Spoon Copycat

Joe Bucher Outdoors just put out a brand new category product called the Slopmaster Spoon. It has already been ripped off by a guy marketing stuff from China. Be aware that the Slopmaster Spoon is the original.

    OK

    Thanks for the info.

It's probably the same SOB that's been placing fish jaw bones on the shores of the chip for years.

For sure, that is a nifty looking bait. I don't buy foreign knockoffs, thanks for the heads up!

    Hi Ken:

Yes, it is Joe. He's really concerned about the knock-off.

That really stinks, but that's China for you. The same happened to a company I used to work for. They made our stuff during the day and knock-offs all night long.

Sure wish Joe would spend some quality time here!! :-)

P.S. I did pick up the real deal at Rollie and Helen's at the Chicago Muskie Show!!

I think that stinks also. I do know that Joe puts an awful lot of research and testing into his stuff and I'm glad he let us know about the " knockoff" I certainly won't buy one, would rather have the real McCoy.

You know, I am not suggesting that China is any sort of a bastion of human rights or a protector of other folk's intellectual property or really saying anything pro or con about their country. I just think it is a bit short-sighted for folks to blame stuff like this on China directly, as a country. This sounds like a whole lot of cases where an individual (probably a white guy who lives in America and votes Republican)simply attempts to steal another guy's good idea and then benefit from that low behaviour by finding a place in the world where he can duplicate the other guys idea on the cheap. He has no research, no development, no gifted talent for doing something original on his own....just a lack of the sort of moral compass that somebody should have taught him when he was little. So, yea, if you want this bait, you should buy it from the guy who really deserves the sale.....but you shouldn't skip over the guy who ordered the goods and jump all over (instead) a whole country full of folks who have little to eat and only sticks to pick it up with.
