Smity bait. Easy to use, no tail to bend/tune, catches fish.

A straight depth raider can be used as an up/down bait. Pull it down and pause and it will rise backward out of the weeds.

The only lure I can think of is a Suick. ;) Probably one of the top 3 musky baits to date IMO. I have used a Bobbie bait in the past but it was just not the same. Rises to fast IMO and hard to get it down with a good pull like I a Suick will. Still a good bait for working over shallow spots. You will never be able to replace your Suicks... ha ha

8-10' easily on the weighted out of the box, and just like a Suick - once you get some water into it deeper becomes a cinch.

My choice is without a doubt Big Fork "Sand Cat". This time of year the 10" model is really deadly. the one thing I noticed with the Sand Cats is the very noticiable wobble on the rise back up to the surface. They've performed with great consitency. I like using them.

Dan Gibbons, the guy who runs Frolander Resort in the NW Angle makes a great bait.

I don't even know if it has a name, if I remember correctly, the guy who made Molly Baits made the mold for Danny's bait.

    Ditto on the Sandcat.
