    Lures with Suick-Type Action

After reading the interesting Suick story, I fished the only Suick I have over this past weekend (a weighted Thriller) and was quite impressed with what I saw. Had a 50 to the boat and lost it when it jumped, had a stike and a miss, and had a follow all on the Suick. I chose it specifically because people do nothing but troll suckers in this lake in the fall.

Well, of course, I'm hooked on them now and I am going to pick up a couple more, but looking through my tackle box I noticed I was lacking in this type of a glider/jerk bait. What are some other lures out there that have the Suick-type action where it dives on the pull, and rises up and backwards on the pause.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Check out, Lakeshore Lures EZ Riser. Heavier than a Suick, with nice hangtime.

Ducktail Lures Weed Warrior or Live Wire jekbaits are a must IMO for any tacklebox.

They go thru weeds like no other, and have a wiggle and flash that is hard to describe...and the fish to resist!!!1

Any idea how far "way down" is for the Big Daddy?

I've been considering trying one out but I'd just as soon stick with a weighted Suick if it's not more than 10 feet.

What about the Lakeshore Lures EZ Riser? That looks just about identical to the old D.C. Bait, "The Stalker", not to be confused with Drifter Tackle's more recent bait of the same name. Any idea how deep those EZ Risers actually run?

THe EZ Riser is designed to get down to aprox. 6ft. It has great hang time with a very slow rise.

By far my favorite dive and rise jerk bait would have to be the 8 inch sand cat.Kicks out a very nice vibration on the dive and backs up a ton on the rise with a very nice wobble action. I dont care for the hooks that come with them.

It is designed after the "old stalker" that went out of production many years ago.
It was a great bait that very few people knew about.
We decided to revive it with a few improvements:
Bigger diameter, better weight system and wide gap hooks to name a few.
We offer a deep diver, shallow diver and curl-e tail.
If you have any questions feel free to give me call:

    Thanks.
