Does anybody know any good spots/lures to fish on Wildcat Lake. It is my first time going up there and I have only heard a few things about burts around the middle two islands.

It's a tiny lake...there's a lot of small muskies in there, if it looks fishy then fish it..I wouldn't expect anything big but definetely not a difficult lake to fish

Brian hit the nail on the head. Lots of smaller fish in that lake but have seen quite a few 40-42" over the years. A fun lake for sure on opening day. Had a client stick three leagals up to 35" and I caught a 31". I'll take that any day. Don't forget to fish super shallow.(on the shore line) Many years ago, I watched a guy catch a handful of good fish using a bass size jackpot on opener. Guess what, it works. So does casting small suckers or chubs and twitching them back. All the spots are good. Then when you are done with that lake, go to Palmer/Tenderfoot or Big. Much better sized fish. ;-) TC www.muskybaitguide.com
