I had best luck on Independence, although we fished a number of others last time I was in town. 3 fish days are far between for me, Indy got me one! m

If you are looking to fish around the White Bear area, let me know. I head to the Metro in June before the Northern MN lakes heat up.
You can e-mail me at: email@example.com or give me a call.

I live in the metro and fish as much as I can 3 or 4 days a week usually. Fished lake harriet a lot as I have a little boat and had good luck. Would like to check out some other lakes too. Also fish the bemidji area as that's where I grew up.

most metro lakes are hit or miss, most of the time being a miss. but with gas prices being as high as they are, I would suspect this year, these lakes will see an awful lot of pressure. it's better than sitting at home though.

I fish Tonka, Nokomis, Harriet, Calhoun. I would like to try WBL or Forest sometime. The smaller metro lakes are usually hot really early in the season and then taper off really quickly, last year got to 38" tigers in 20mins. I dont own a boat so if someone needs a net man pm me...

A buddy and I were fishing for pike on Forest Lake yesterday and had 5 follows (Musky) within 2 hours. We also saw a 40+ fish in about 3-4' of water and caught (and released) about 5 pike. Maybe it had something to do with the storm the day before??

Yeah I was on Forest Sat bass fishing and there were several "pike" fisherman using huge bucktails, hope you we're one of those guys.

Nope, not us. We were fishing from a pontoon boat in the shallows using #4 spinners. Those lures work slick for bass & pike. Thanks for checking though. ;-)
