A brief report about Lk Tapps and Mayfield Res.
It's been darn tough all over. I heard of a couple being caught out of Merwin Res. Only two fish caught in the Mayfield tourney a week ago. Lots of water being drawn through Mayfield for the salmon runs is making it darn cold and levels going up/down always turns off the fish. A couple of fish caught in Tapps with no pattern coming to mind except they've been deep. I was lucky enough to find a decent one shallow on a glider yesterday but not even another follow in two days. Trolling might be the best option for these deeper holding fish.
If anyone else from out this way has some info, please add it.
Thanx and good luck all.

Had doctor appointment today so I went for a couple hours early. One follow from a decent fish on a depthraider(baby). No other action. No wind, no boats, bright sun and super clear water makes it tough. Caught two smallies on grubs and you could see them coming up from 14-15' down. Cool.
Got Friday off so I'll give it another try early. My partner and I are scouting out deer hunting country this weekend and leaving Fri nite. Fishing might end this weekend. Hunting's upone us.

Well folks, I went out for my last musky outing of the year I think, on Lk Tapps. Had a fiesty high 30's fish follow in twice and went through the 8 twice but wouldn't take. Crankbaiting deep to bring him up. Only fish I saw.
Leaving for deer camp in two weeks so I have to get things ready. Elk right after deer then pheasant, ducks and geese.
Good luck to the rest of you that stick with it for a while yet.
