Can anyone tell me of a good resort to stay at in Hayward, WI? I am looking to go there for a weekend of musky fishing in October and would like some information on a lake/resort. Thanks for your help.

Also check out Spider Lake Lodge. It's a nice B&B, but with good fishing right outside your door.

I would HIGHLY recommend www.treelandsresort.com
as I stayed there the third week in october about 2 years ago.Great people, nice place to eat/drink,a little $$$$.Don`t know how long there cottages are open till in late october,I think they leave just a few open late.Had to stay in the "motel"section, which was very nice at 80$$a pop.Had nice accomadations, fridge, huge bathromm, living room, grill,tv.

I think Johnson's resort on the Chip is pretty nice. May want to check out chippewaflowage.com. It lists last minute vacancies. FYI currently the Chip water level is way down. Hopefully it will improve over the next couple of months.

Sportsmans lodge on Moose Lake is a great place to go for a fishing trip in Hayward!! John is a guide and he will tell you what is happening on the lake and give you all the advice you need or want.

Check out http://www.fishoninn.com/

Scott and Karla are great people and have a REALLY nice lake home for rent.

I was just at the bar at Treelands (nice place too) on 9/29 and they said they will be closing the weekend of 10/20. Great Bloody Marys by the way.

Sisko's is another great 'fish camp' resort to check out. Older clean cabins. They are usually booked solid though.

The Spider Lake Motel http://www.spiderlakemotel.com/ is off water. but is inexpensive.

My cousin and I stopped by Anglers Haven on Lac Courte Orielles last year for dinner after we got done fishing Grindstone. The food was great and we talked with the owners for a bit and they were extremly nice.

I have never stayed there, but my impression of it was that it would be a great place to vacation, and its obviously on a great lake.
