I saw one fish not to big, and caught a bunch of northerns. Nice moon rise / sunset last night, but no musky's. Anyone else do good last night?

My wife and I were out on a good little "action" lake. It was our best outting so far in our short musky career. I lost one mid 30 incher at the boat on a figure 8. First time I have had one hit on an 8. I lost two other mid 30's at 8 p.m. and 8:15, 100 yrds apart. My wife had 2 blow-up with good fish around 8:45 and then it went cold at dark. Fished to mid night with nothing. Did catch a lot of pike and large mouths. Good luck the rest of the week.

Here's what I heard

"49.5 inches, 37.5 pounds on a certified Chatillon scale, weighed in the net, minus the beckman weight...

My heaviest 49 incher I have ever caught..."

Nice fish, Dave. Meaty.

Nothing hooked for me last nite. But it was a fine nite to be out for sure.

Got a heckuva blowup and a short strike when I got home around 3, though. When will I learn.

We had to get off Pewaukee just before 7:00 for duties at home, really wanted to be there at 7:59 for the moon rise because from 2-7 we only had one "shorty" hit and didn't even see another fish.

Love to see pics of that one. That'd have to be a 25+" girth on a 49.5" fish. Did she eat a full gown beaver? Wow!

Well, for the second year in a row. I took someone out to get thier first musky on August's full moon and scored. There seems to be something about August's full moon.
My dad got his first musky ever, after 3 years of trying. It was a 28", nothing to really write home about.
About 15min later, I had one hit at booatside and it was a decent one. At least 40" and pretty fat. Unfortunatly, I lost it somehow. Not really sure what happend, but somehow the Cowgirl let go of her.

I hit it Wed morning for the moonset/sunrise and only had one follow in 4.5 hrs. Hit it again on thurs a little later to let the water warm up and scored a 47" on a Pacemaker.
