Looking to fish this lake next week and just looking for any suggestions/patterns for this time of year. Never fished this lake before so any hazards i should be aware of as well. Not looking for anyone secret spots just general info would be great. Thanks for any info.

Have not fished it in some years. From the landing by the island are some rocks all msrked. Just fish the shore lines. The muskies and bass will be happy to eat your baits.

Fished it 3 to 4 times a week from '66 to about '72 not because I liked it but it was close to home at that time and was full of Muskies. This was about when Radtke bought the landing from Mel Frei, he was just a tourist fisherman at the time throwing that Paw Paw pikie which somehow morphed into the Radtke Pikie.Good little bait,he took a 50+ pound fish on it years later on the St. Lawrence.Dave and Barb Snoddy were also cutting their teeth on the Lake at that time.
Not too many secrets on the Lake, don't think there are too many places where you couldn't catch a fish.
Caught lots of fish there nothing real big, a couple mid 40s which at that time were considered big for the Lake.
Good Luck Tom

Thanks for the info so far, should have asked in the original post - clear or stained lake?

Not stained but you'll probably have some bloom.

Fared best on this water during May/early June with twitch baits, 6-inch Jakes and JBDRs. Caught some big largemouth fishing for lunges on Little Green. As for blades, go with a Bullfrog or Orange/Black Slopmaster, which is a great three species lure on LGL - Bass, Pike, and Muskies.

Big Bass for sure, took a 7# 2oz. on a big Eddie bait.
