Larry
Ramsell has 44 years of musky fishing experience. His
catches are topped by two 40-pound class and two 45-pound
class releases (one of which was 56 inches long), and
a kept 44-pound 4-ounce trophy, which is a world line
class record.He has fished 11 states and two Canadian
provinces.
Larry
developed the world records program for the National Fresh
Water Fishing Hall of Fame and was a representative of
the International Game Fish Association for 16 years.
He is a two-term past international president of Muskies,
Inc., and is currently the Fish Historian and Records
Advisor for the Hall of Fame.
The
original edition of Larry’s “A Compendium of Muskie Angling
History” (see
our store), is recognized internationally as a reference
encyclopedia on the sport. It has been updated, revised
and reprinted in 1997. Also, Larry and Bill Hamblin co-edited
the “Musky Hunter's Almanac” which is an annual publication
for the musky hunter. In 1986, Larry worked as a volunteer
on Bernard Lebeau's Musky Research Team in northwestern
Ontario, where he radio-tracked huge muskies on Eagle
and Wabigoon lakes.
Larry
is a frequent seminar speaker and guides for muskies on
the waters around Hayward, Wisconsin. Larry can
