    Dale Hollow Musky

    49" Pre-spawn Musky caught trolling at Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee on 3/7/10.

    Thanks. No. Fred doesn't fish DHL much anymore, but I definitely took a page from the master. trolldhl.com charters put me on that fish. According to other sources, this fish may be bigger than any taken by Fred McClintock on Dale Hollow. Probably would have been a state record, but rather than calling it in, we were focused on releasing it. Success.

    Really nice fish, they sure can grow big in TN. If you didn't know as of March 1 Dale Hollow has a 50" size limit so it could not have been a state record.

    Good point. Guess it's gotta be a keeper huh? :D Pretty sure it outweighed the current state record(42.5 lbs. 1983) though.

    That is probably the most beautiful southern muskie I've ever seen.I'm not sure if it would be disqualified as Tn.St. record because of length.I'm going to check w/ the TWRA....

    I called and they said because the size limit went to 50 inches thus because of the length he would not be able to keep it to have it weighed. The other lakes in Tenn. have smaller size limits thus it would be legal on those bodies of water. Bummer
